Federal and state government has stop hajj sponsoring

Following the news that government quits hajj sponsoring, kingdom of Saudi Arabia has gradually resumed Umar for Muslims  across the globe after it was suspended due to civd-19 pandemic in 2020. Muslim in Nigeria have therefore resumed their pilgrim activities.

Meanwhile Ekiti State government has made it clear that individuals interested in performing pilgrimages should do so through private savings in view of government withdrawal of sponsorship. speaking at the meeting with members of the state Muslim pilgrim welfare board in Edo-Ekiti.

The state deputy governor Bisi Ekbeyemi noted that both the Federal and state government has stopped Hajj sponsoring and it's activities to save fund for the development purposes, told his board members who visited him to familiarize themselves with his office which suppervices the board.

However in kwara State, Hajj sponsoring and National Hajj commission NAHCO in conjunction with the Muslim pilgrim welfare board has lounched Hajj saving scheme to enable under those Muslim who are able to afford the fun to be able to have to he opportunity to observe the pilgrimage.
